Before and after hair transplant results

Before and Afters

Welcome to the Dr. Plano Hair restoration gallery. Reviewing real patient outcomes is a necessary step when researching your options for hair loss treatment. In this gallery, you will see unedited before-and-after photos of patients who have undergone hair transplants at our Plano clinic.

Our medical team specializes in Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) utilizing the advanced SmartGraft system. This minimally invasive technology allows us to safely harvest individual hair follicles and implant them with precise angles and direction. As you review these gallery photos, pay close attention to the hairline design, the density of the transplanted areas, and the lack of visible scarring in the donor regions. Every photo represents our commitment to creating permanent, natural-looking results that blend seamlessly with your existing hair.

Every patient experiences a unique pattern of hair loss, meaning your restoration plan must be entirely customized to your facial structure, age, and available donor hair. The photos above demonstrate the technical precision and clinical standards you can expect from the team at Dr. Plano Hair.

If you are experiencing thinning hair or a receding hairline and want to know what your specific results could look like, the next step is a clinical evaluation. Contact our office today to schedule your consultation and find out if you are a candidate for the SmartGraft FUE procedure.

Initial hair growth usually begins three to four months after your surgery. The transplanted hairs will initially shed before this new growth starts—a normal part of the healing process. Patients typically see significant improvements at the six-month mark, with the final, full density of the SmartGraft FUE procedure visible between 12 and 18 months.

Yes. Because the SmartGraft system allows surgeons to extract and place follicles one by one, we can mimic your natural hair growth pattern. By carefully placing single-hair follicles at the very front of the hairline and thicker follicular units behind them, the result is a soft, undetectable transition that looks entirely natural.

Yes, hair transplant results are permanent. The hair follicles harvested from the back and sides of your head (the donor area) are genetically resistant to DHT, the hormone responsible for male pattern baldness. When these follicles are transplanted to thinning areas, they retain that resistance and will continue to grow for the rest of your life.

No. Older hair restoration methods, like FUT (strip surgery), leave a linear scar on the back of the head. The FUE method using SmartGraft uses a microscopic punch to extract individual follicles. This process leaves tiny, millimeter-sized micro-wounds that heal quickly and are virtually invisible to the naked eye, allowing you to wear very short haircuts without worrying about scar visibility.
